Introduction of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Intangible Cultural Heritage domains include
  • Oral traditions and expressions, including language as a vehicle of the intangible cultural heritage;
  • Performing arts;
  • Social practices, rituals and festive events;
  • Knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe;
  • Traditional craftsmanship.

"The oral traditions and expressions domain encompasses an enormous variety of spoken forms including proverbs, riddles, tales, nursery rhymes, legends, myths, epic songs and poems, charms, prayers, chants, songs, dramatic performances and more. "

In my individual graduation project, I will do research in legends and myths from different cultures between west and east, to see what characters and creatures were created or recorded in history, which can help me to recreate a virtual world with digital technology in this day and age, as an educational application to bridge cultures.
